To effectively bring the veteran-owned business movement to Main Street America, NaVOBA recently formed the Regional Advocates Board (RAB). The board’s members are passionate veteran-owned business advocates from all over the country charged with perpetuating the grassroots, organic growth that’s swelling the ranks of the veteran-business movement.
“The regional advocates bring the national veteran business movement to the grassroots level, enabling the more than 3 million small, veteran-owned businesses on Main Street in every city and town in America to benefit from the tremendous support our country shares for the men and women who bravely defend our freedoms,” said NaVOBA President Chris Hale.
The regional advocates work with chamber of commerce executives to bring an added value to veteran-owned chamber member businesses by sharing the opportunity created through the marketplace at BuyVeteran.com.
The message is simple. Chambers want their members’ businesses to grow. Buy Veteran will help those member businesses owned by veterans grow. All NaVOBA asks from the chamber is for them to spread the word to its members. To top it off, the chamber can even offer the VOBs a 25 percent discount on a full NaVOBA membership. Or, the VOBs can still list their business for free.
Chambers across the country are joining up. In the last two weeks alone NaVOBA welcomed three new chamber partners. Terry Kohler recently brought the Draper Area Chamber of Commerce in Draper, Utah. Curtis Reichold, worked with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce in Jackson, Tenn. to help make the chamber vetrepreneur-friendly. And, RAB Chairman Ted Stazak brought the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce of Rockville, Md. on board as well.
