Bob Sofsky always wanted to give something back to the men and women who serve in the military. Sofsky said America's heroes need to hear from every American citizen in a real and personal way so they know just how much our country appreciates them.
Sofsky launched BeProactive, Inc., “to see that all Americans recognize our brave and unselfish active military personnel, wounded warriors and our disabled American veterans who have served and sacrificed so much for our country.”
To provide an easy way for Americans to do a little more than say thanks, Sofsky developed the Thanks-A-Bunch program that encourages everyday citizens to express their gratitude through a simple gesture of offering to buy America's heroes lunch or dinner.
“We understand that sometimes time schedules don't always allow us to simply sit down with one of our fine soldiers and have lunch together, Sofsky said.. “To remedy that we've created the Thanks-A-Bunch™ (TAB) card you can present to a hero whenever or wherever you may come into contact together.”
The TAB card is easy to give and convenient for veterans and service members to use. People wanting to say thanks make a tax-deductible $10 donation to purchase a gift card worth $50 that can be used anytime at more than 15,000 participating restaurants across the country. And, because each card is uniquely numbered, the recipient can contact the donor with their own words of thanks.
He’s even developed a way for veteran-owned business to take advantage of the program to grow their businesses. They can purchase the cards, at 20 cents on the dollar, to distribute to their customers as a way to promote their businesses. Or, they can hand these cards out to their employees as a way to keep their troops motivated. To learn more visit www.thanksabunch.org.
