Steve Fairchild is no stranger to taking risks, and not just from the time he spent in the Marine Corps. After completing his military service, Fairchild worked for 16 years for two different printing companies in Virginia and West Virginia. He had always wanted to own his own business building on the skills he learned working in the printing industry. He saw an opportunity to do things a little differently by focusing on building relationships with his customers.
In 1989, Fairchild took the entrepreneurial leap by borrowing money from his 401(k) retirement savings to augment a bank loan he secured to get his own printing business off the ground. Now, more than two decades later, Fairchild is the proud owner of Summersville, W. V.-based Nicholas Printing Inc.
Fairchild said he is in the business of helping other businesses grow their businesses. In addition printing services, NPI offers in-house design services and marketing assistance.
“There’s more to it than completing a job and moving to the next,” Fairchild said. “We want to see our clietnts businesses succeed. These relationships help our business succeed.”
“Wespecialize in short-run small format full-color printing and can produce high quality rack cards, brochures, postcards, newsletters, and more,” Fairchild said. “If you have a project we can help. From concept to completion, we can get it done for you.”
Fairchild said his motto for success is to always leave everything he touches better than he found it. To learn more about NPI’s services visit www.nicholasprinting.com.
