House File 2449 (successor to HF 2162) aims to make Iowa the next vetrepreneur-friendly state. The bill, introduced by Representative Ray S. Zirkelbach, would require the Iowa Department of Economic Development to “encourage and assist” service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses in bidding for and obtaining state contracts. NaVOBA encourages all vetrepreneurs to reach out to their legislators and insist this and other pieces of vetrepreneur-friendly legislation become law.
