Top military brass discusses the impact of military spending on local communities at leadership conference.
More than 250 business and military leaders gathered for the 24th Annual St. Barnabas CEO Leadership Conference on Monday, September 20, at the Kean Theatre at The Washington Place at St. Barnabas in Gibsonia, Pa. The conference, "The Military Means Business," provided local business leaders the unique opportunity to ask questions of a panel of high-ranking current and former military officers about business opportunities and how military spending impacts local communities.
The featured speakers included: Gen. Michael Hayden (ret.), Former Director of the CIA and National Security Agency, Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert, Vice Chief of Naval Operations, U.S. Navy, Gen. Robert Oaks, (ret.) Commander in Chief, U. S. Air Force in Europe and NATO in Central Europe, Maj. Gen. Harold G. Bunch, Assistant Deputy Commanding General, Army Materiel Command for Reserve Affairs, Maj. Gen. Tom Jones (Ret.) U.S. Marine Corps, Founder and President, Outdoor Odyssey, a youth leadership academy and Dr. Schuyler Foerster, ret. Colonel U.S. Air Force, Brent Scowcroft Professor of National Security Studies at USAF Academy.
