As vice president of NaVOBA and editor-in-chief of Vetrepreneur, Rich McCormack oversees the overall strategy, production, editorial, circulation and online communications efforts for NaVOBA. Rich is a seasoned media professional who brings 14 years of proven media, marketing and sales experience spanning both the public and private business sectors.

Rich’s leadership has been instrumental in the launch and tremendous growth of three national magazines serving the military and veteran markets. Rich’s editorial advocacy in the formation of annual lists and key interviews with celebrities, high profile politicians and industry leaders has garnered national attention and has made corporate America realize the value in hiring and doing business military and veterans markets.

Upon graduation from the Virginia Military Institute in 1991, Rich was commissioned an ensign in the United States Navy. He spent three years at Rodman Naval Base in the Republic of Panama as a Supply Corps officer.

After leaving the Navy, Rich earned an MBA from The University of Georgia 1997 and subsequently joined International Paper Company as a plant sales manager. At International Paper, Rich managed a 10-person sales team, overseeing $30 million in annual sales for the corrugated division.

Rich left International Paper in 1998 and co-founded a finance-related internet start-up (Iclubweb.com) with fellow NaVOBA founder Chris Hale, which was sold in 1999.

Following iclubweb.com, Rich co-founded Stars & Stripes Omnimedia where as vice president of product and services he was responsible for the development and launch of the "Stars and Stripes" suite of media products, including the re-launch of the nation's oldest military newspaper -- The Stars and Stripes.

Rich holds a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from The University of Georgia.
