Charles Gillean, Supplier Diversity Program Leader within Global Procurement at AstraZeneca, was recently awarded the Advocate of the Year award from the PA-NJ-DE Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC). The MSDC is the localaffiliate of the National Minority Supplier Council, the largest minoritybusiness advocacy organization in the world.

Charles accepted the award during a gala attended by more than 400 people from companies who are involved in minority development. Charles has been a member of the MSDC board of directors for 10 years.

“AZ does a great deal of work and has innovative programs to support minority, women and veteran-owned businesses and we also encourage other organizations to participate,” he said.
