CAC Outline Header

Mission: To enhance the prevalence and magnitude of corporate supplier diversity programs inclusive of veteran-owned businesses (VOBs).

Eligibility: NaVOBA Corporate Advisory Council positions will be open to all NaVOBA corporate members that meet the following criteria:

  • Actively maintain VOB-inclusive supplier diversity programs.
  • Actively engaged in past NaVOBA events, surveys and other professional industry groups.
  • Establish and maintain an active outreach plan to VOBs.
  • Actively solicit VOB suppliers to increase veteran spend and to achieve corporate goals.

CAC Member Diversity: NaVOBA will strive to achieve maximum CAC diversity in the following categories:

  • Corporate Industry.
  • Corporate geographical location.
  • Corporate position (supplier diversity, corporate diversity, procurement).

Meeting Outline: The CAC will plan to meet three times per year in February, October and June. One of the three meetings will be in person, to be held concurrently with a NaVOBA event. The other two meetings will be held via teleconference. CAC meetings will be planned 90 minutes in length with teleconference support.

CAC Meeting Outputs: CAC members and meeting notes will be summarized in a follow-on issue of Vetrepreneur magazine (3x/yr). All CAC members will be listed in each issue of Vetrepreneur and on the NaVOBA Web site (www.navoba.com).
