NaVOBA’s first Veterans Business Advisory Council (VBAC) meeting was held Nov. 14 via teleconference. The VBAC consists of NaVOBA veteran business owners who represent a cross section of businesses and industries. The council was formed to allow NaVOBA members to provide feedback on current membership benefits and marketing initiatives. As NaVOBA ambassadors, VBAC members will educate veteran business owners on the importance of joining the movement.
During the meeting, VBAC members were briefed on the editorial direction of Vetrepreneur magazine and were introduced to partnerships designed to help increase NaVOBA membership. VBAC also was updated on the progress of Veteran Business Advocates’ corporate outreach effort and the association’s 2009 strategy. The next VBAC meeting will be March 13. The council will delve further into the editorial strategy of the magazine.
